About Corvus Jewels
Q: Where do you source your beads?A: From all over! All of the freshwater pearls I use are salvaged from unwanted secondhand jewelry. All of the glass beads I use are vintage, mostly from before the year 2000; I get them from old unused stock or from old jewelry that I take apart. I primarily find the beads on secondhand shopping websites, but also sometimes source from flea markets and thrift shops.
Q: Why use vintage beads?
A: For two reasons: sustainability and character. I decided to commit to only using vintage and secondhand materials when I noticed just how much jewelry exists already, and how much of it is unwanted and in danger of ending up in a landfill. Addititionally, many of the beads I come across are unlike the ones that are currently in production. I pride myself in making jewelry that you can't reproduce exactly.
Q: How long have you been making jewelry?
A: Since 2022. You wouldn't recognize my jewelry from when I first started, though! I've since found my style, and even though it's still evolving, I have confidence at this point that I can execute my ideas.
Order Logistics
Q: When can I expect my order to ship?A: Within 2-3 days. All pieces listed on my site are already made and ready to ship.
Q: What can I do if my jewelry breaks?
A: I make my pieces with wear and tear in mind, so they should hold together for you, but life happens sometimes! I will always repair a piece that breaks at no cost to you (other than postage if you need to ship the piece to me - I will cover postage to send the repaired piece back to you).
